Good illustration of Art nouveau architecture, the building is one of Gaudí's most beautiful works. It is located in a neighbourhood called 'manzana de la discordia' (bone of contention or, literally, apple of the discord), knowing that 'manzana' means 'apple' and 'block' at the same time ; in fact, the pun originates from the lack of architectural unity in the neighbourhood. Inside Gaudí's construction, there are numerous ceramics and, on the top floor, a tower covered up with pieces of glass.
