The Corpus Christi Fair of Granada is one of the oldest celebrations in Spain and it has both a playful and religious nature. It lasts a week and the major day is on Thursday, when the Corpus Christi procession takes place. The procession is very bright and colourful and apart from the monstrance, viewers can admire bands, horses, etc. The Almanjayar fairground is the main celebration spot and there are some bus lines that lead to it. During the day, a great flamenco atmosphere is palpable with the carriages and people dressed in typical costumes ; at night, the atmosphere reaches its climax and all the people meet in the funfair and the food stalls. The fair is a really nice place to eat, drink, dance and have fun with a lively crowd.
