Is YourTour a travel agent ?
No, YourTour is a unique service based on innovative technology designed for the organization of tailored travel. The company which developed it, Natural Digit, has made this technology available free of charge so that you can organize your own tour using our powerful calculation engine. You are the organizer of your own trip and make the bookings that appeal to you. As for accommodation, in order to offer a wide choice on the tours, we propose the hotels from Booking.com, which is your intermediary and contact for hotel bookings made through YourTour.

How does YourTour differ from other city guides ?
YourTour is much more than just a city guide. Not only does it allow you to generate city trips on the spot, but it goes beyond the city setting to offer you visits to whole regions: after all, wouldn’t it be a shame to visit Paris and then find that your adviser never mentioned Versailles to you? Or to visit Florence without realizing that you’re near the Leaning Tower of Pisa? YourTour is currently the only travel generator which covers all of a city, one or more regions or even a whole country. What’s more, YourTour will automatically plan hotels to suit your trip and you can make all your reservations in just one click. Without this functionality, organizing accommodation for a tour of 4, 5 or 10 days can involve a huge amount of work. So YourTour is unique, as it’s the only tool that will generate you a real trip complete with reservations based on the preferences and budget you’ve indicated.

How can YourTour build a personalized tour ?
The YourTour.com website is based on a unique calculation engine that combines mainly hotels and activities in order to generate several million tours in a few seconds. The fruit of years of mathematical research, it can thus find those which best match your requirements and offer top value for money!

Will I end up paying for more expensive hotels if I book on YourTour ?
Absolutely not. In order to offer you a wide selection of accommodation, we propose the hotels from Booking.com for use on the tours. One of the biggest online hotel reservation platforms, Booking.com allows you to make your reservations at a very wide range of quality hotels, for the best possible price. YourTour proposes the Booking.com hotels to you, but Booking.com is your intermediary and contact for reservations made through YourTour. This means you benefit from the extremely competitive rates available on Booking.com, without any surcharges.

How are the attractions and hotels selected ?
Choosing the most suitable activities and hotels for your tour can be a real headache... which is why our calculation engine does it for you! In particular, it matches the attractions and hotels to your tastes and preferences (modifiable in the “Personalize” tab), as well as taking into account the opinions of our team and other users, along with price, distance to be travelled, opening hours, availability, etc.

Can I choose accommodation other than hotels ?
For the moment, we only propose hotel accommodation for our tours, in partnership with Booking.com. But you don’t have to book the hotels if you prefer to find your own accommodation.

Where does the information on the activities proposed by YourTour come from ?
In order to be able to offer you high-quality tours, it’s vital for us to have correct and up-to-date information on the main tourist destinations in the regions we cover. To do so, we have agreements with tour guide publishers and also add our own content, which we ensure is always regularly updated. We favor the quality of our information over exhaustiveness, but if you think an important tourist activity is missing from our database, don’t hesitate to let us know !

I want to visit several countries/regions in one go.
The YourTour calculation engine does not currently enable you to select multiple countries when creating a single trip, but you can choose more than one region within the same country.

I don’t know which region my destination is in.
First choose the country of destination, then click on the magnifying glass next to the choice of regions to display the map of the selected country. From there, you can choose one or more regions simply by selecting them with a click (to remove one, you just have to click on it again).

My departure city is not on the list.
The YourTour calculation engine doesn’t currently allow you to indicate cities or airports located outside the selected region(s). You therefore have to plan your travel to the region you want to visit separately. For the moment, YourTour only manages your visit once you’re there.

I want to go through a certain town during my tour.
The YourTour calculation engine doesn’t allow you to indicate towns or locations in your preferences. Currently, you can only specify the start and finish towns.

How do the flexible dates work ?
If you tick this option, you indicate a range of dates. The YourTour calculation engine will then automatically choose the best dates for your trip from within these dates based on your personal choices.

How do I change the website language ?
You can select the language (English or French) on the website homepage, but you can’t change the language while you’re creating your tour.

From what age are my children classed as adults ?
A child is considered an adult from the age of 12. This is a very important point because the functioning of the activity selection mechanism takes the possible presence of children into account. If you’re travelling with children aged 11 or under, the activities suggested will not necessarily be the same as if only adults were travelling.

The proposed trip appeals to me. What do I do next ?
If you are happy with the trip proposed after "Customization", you should move on to booking the hotels where you’re going to stay. To do this, use the “Select this tour” option at the top of the page. You can then book all the hotels (or only those of your choice) in one go. You can also print out the trip for later reference.
We are working on making it savable and modifiable.

I’m not happy with my tour.
That’s where the “Customize” tab comes in. This is the great strength of the YourTour.com algorithm, as you can change all the options chosen by default for the first tour proposed.

I’ve asked for activities to be removed but they’re still there. What should I do ?
To remove one or more activities from the trip proposed, you simply need to click on the small red trashcan opposite each unwanted activity. Once you’ve made your selection, you can ask the system to recalculate the trip incorporating your changes, i.e. by using the “Rebuild my tour” button at the top of the page.

Why is the car the only form of transport proposed ?
Currently, we only manage trips by car because it’s the most practical means of transportation for discovering a region at your own pace, following the personalized program developed for you. But we’re looking into the possibility of including other types of transport.

Where can I find the total cost of my tour ? What does it include ?
The overall budget can be found on the top left of the trip overview page.
It includes all the activities, accommodation and travel (based on a cost per kilometer) described in the tour for all selected participants. It does not cover restaurant costs or activities not included in the list generated by YourTour.

Can I include a lunch break ?
This option is not currently available but we’re working on it.

How can I save my tour ?
This option is not currently available but we’re working on it.

Is it possible to share my tour ?
Yes. At the top of the trip page, you can agree to let others view it via Facebook, Linkedln, Twitter or by e-mail.

I’ve clicked on the “Back” button and lost my trip ! What can I do ?
Your trip is not lost, you’ve just gone back to the start page. To get back to your tour, just click on your browser’s “Forward” icon. We are working to improve this detail.

How can I select a specific activity directly ?
The list of activities per region is not yet accessible, but we’re working on it.

The activities proposed don’t appeal to me. How can I change them ?
To specify your preferences and your criteria, go to the “Customize” tab. You can then indicate your preferences (preferred activity type, time set aside for visits each day, hotel selection criteria, maximum authorized budged, etc.)

What are “Save” and “Remove” used for ?
Each time you click on the “Rebuild my tour” button, the YourTour engine generates a new trip based on the changes made in the choice of activities and personalization. To be sure of finding an activity you like, you can force YourTour to suggest it every time a new tour is generated. Conversely, you can permanently remove an activity you no longer wish to view. Requested or blocked activities are displayed on the right-hand side of the personalization screen, so you can always reverse your choices here if you change your mind.

The activities that I chose to save have disappeared. What can I do ?
When you rebuild your tour, the YourTour calculation engine recreates the tour entirely, based on your latest preferences. The activities selected will therefore be part of the new circuit, but won’t necessarily be in the same slot in the daily programs. A hotel proposed at one moment may not be free a few minutes later. YourTour automatically carries out all these checks and adapts the information based on the results.

I’ve accidentally removed an attraction ! How do I restore it ?
Selected and removed activities are listed in the “Specific requests” section on the right side of the “Customize” page. You can remove them from the list to restore them to “normal” status.

Why do I have a day with no activities ?
That can happen when YourTour does not have enough activities matching your personalized criteria to fill the desired number of days. To get the YourTour engine to add activities, you can change the Personalization of your trip. For instance, you could increase the preference for sections such as “Culture & Discovery” or “Nature & Life”, etc., to inform the YourTour engine that you’d like more activities of this type. You could also select “Travel more” rather than “Travel less” and “Top activities” rather than “Inexpensive activities".

Can I define the type of hotel where I want to stay ?
Yes. In the “Personalize” tab, you will find a Hotels section where you can set accommodation preferences.

Why is the price displayed in the hotel’s details not the same as that on the booking page ?
At the time of booking a specific room proposed for your tour, you may be able to benefit from a better price than that indicated in your travel plan. This may be due to a special offer for a stay of several consecutive nights, for example.

I’d like to stay one extra night at the hotel at the end of my trip.
The YourTour application doesn’t allow for a hotel on the final day of the tour. To stay another night at the selected hotel, you’ll need to get in touch with the hotel directly.

How do I choose the room I wish to reserve ?
During the hotel booking stage, YourTour will indicate the types of rooms available at the hotel, along with the prices and capacities. You can then choose the one you want.

How do I pay for the hotel ?
During the hotel booking stage, you will need to enter your contact details and payment information via a secure platform. The information will be sent to the hotel so that your reservation can be confirmed. Your card will not be debited as you will pay while at the hotel.

How do I cancel a hotel ?
The specific information for cancelling a room is available next to the room type in the “Conditions” section. This section is displayed when you click on the “Select this tour” button and via the “View details” link for each hotel.
You can cancel or modify your booking via our partner Booking.com’s free-access service My Reservation Don’t forget to check the hotel’s cancellation terms before modifying your reservation, as different cancellation conditions may apply to rooms at a non-refundable rate and to other special offers.
To use the “My Reservation” service, you will need your reservation number and your confidential code, which can be found in the confirmation e-mail sent to you by Booking.com when you made your reservation. Check that this e-mail has not been blocked by your anti-spam software.

The overall budget can be found in the summary at the top of the trip page.

What does the overall budget include ?
The overall budget includes all the activities, accommodation and travel (based on a cost per kilometer) described in the tour for all selected participants. It does not cover restaurant costs or activities not included in the list generated by YourTour.

The budget is too high.
If you wish to set a budget, go to the “Budget” category on the “Customize” tab. You can then indicate either a price per kilometer or a limit not to be exceeded.
